For the next service designer to join our team, we are looking for the following.

  • You have 5+ years experience with Service Design, Design Research and/or Strategic Design
  • You have a strategic mindset, have an eye for ecosystems and how things work together. You see design as a holistic approach instead of independent sub-disciplines and how it can improve people's lives and businesses. 
  • You are able to lead projects with a team of designers. You plan, manage and execute the activities required to reach the project goal (user research, workshops, analysis...). You organise the project work efficiently, make decisions and aim for high quality deliverables and impact.

  • You are a master problem solver using human-centered design principles and you have a solid understanding of the agile processes of the fast-paced digital product development. 

  • You master the Service Design methods and tools: persona definition, journey mapping, value proposition creation, service blueprinting, prototyping and validation.
  • You excel at conducting research activities such as interviews, observations, cultural probes... and you also like continuously improving and evolving your research techniques by incorporating state of the art techniques. 
  • You are able to analyse qualitative and quantitative data to uncover meaningful insights and opportunities and you strive to going beyond the apparent user needs and assumptions. 
  • You are an experienced facilitator of different kinds of creative sessions and Design Sprints, with diverse audiences. 
  • You master cross-functional collaboration, guiding and co-creating with teammates from other disciplines, clients and users.
  • You mentor and inspire less experienced designers, you challenge the team's comfort zone to improve their service design skills and shape their perspectives on innovation.
  • You have great communication skills, visually and verbally. You are comfortable giving presentations and translating complex ideas into comprehensive visuals. 

  • You strive to build good working relationships with clients, partners and the community. You will become an ambassador. 
  • You are enthusiastic about innovation, emerging technologies and new business models, future scenarios and trends.
  • You play well with our international team and love to share your knowledge

The following are considered a bonus:

  • You speak Dutch or you are willing to learn.
  • You enjoy organising events for the community and well as participating yourself in public speaking.
  • You have experience in strategic foresight and/or behavioural change.
